Color Run Sydney

Last week end, another Color Run was on in Sydney, and we were there! You might have seen pictures of it already or if you are familiar with the Holi festival in India, you have a rough idea of the event. Described as the “Happiest 5K on the planet” by the organisers, it seems like you are temporarily in a place where throwing colours at people and in the end being all painted bodies. It is relatively new and the concept is mainly about bringing people together in a fun and healthy way! You spend a great time with friends trying to stay fit as well! Another good reason to do it is that they contribute to charity and this edition’s was the Cure for Life foundation, a topic close to my heart. You get to enjoy a concert at the end of it. Le week-end dernier, une nouvelle édition du Color Run a eu lieu à Sydney, et nous étions de la partie. Peut-être avez vous déjà vu des photos de l’évènement ou connaissez vous le festival Holi en Inde qui l’a inspiré, alors voici un aperçu de la course. Décrite par les organisateurs comme les 5km les plus joyeux de la planète, c’est comme un jeu : les participants se bombardent de  poudre de couleur ressemblant tous à la fin à des arcs-en-ciel ambulants. C’est un concept assez récent qui permet de rassembler les gens dans un esprit de joie, de bonne humeur et sans risque. C’est aussi l’occasion de passer un bon moment avec ses amis, tout en sachant qu’une partie des fonds récoltés est redistribuée à une association caritative, à Sydney le choix s’est porté cette année sur une association Australienne contre le cancer du cerveau, sujet qui me tient à cœur.
